In-Car Temperature Sensor Removal, Installation, and Test
1. In-Car Temperature Sensor - Remove

Remove the driver's inner dashboard trim (A).

2.
Disconnect the in-car temperature sensor connector (B).

3.
Disconnect the aspirator hose (C).





4.
Remove the in-car temperature sensor (A).


NOTE: Before testing the sensor, check for climate control DTCs.

1. In-Car Temperature Sensor - Test


1.
Test the in-car temperature sensor while holding it in front of the dashboard center vent.

Measure the resistance with the system set to MAX COOL.
Measure the resistance with the system set to MAX HOT.

2.
Compare the resistance reading between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 of the in-car temperature sensor with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the specifications.

3.
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the in-car temperature sensor.

Install the in-car temperature sensor (A).






2.
Connect the in-car temperature sensor connector (A).

3.
Connect the aspirator hose (B).

4.
Install the driver's inner dashboard trim (C).
