Front Impact Sensor Removal and Installation

before doing repairs or service.
1.
Battery Terminal - Disconnect
Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure
, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
2.
Front Bumper Upper Air Duct - Remove
Remove the front bumper upper air duct
.
3.
Front Impact Sensor - Remove
1.
Remove the TORX bolt (A) using a TORX T30 bit, then remove the front impact sensor (B).
2.
Disconnect the front impact sensor connector (C) on the engine compartment wire harness.

Front Impact Sensor - Install
1.
Connect the front impact sensor connector (A) on the engine compartment wire harness.
2.
Install the front impact sensor (B) with the new TORX bolt (C), using a TORX T30 bit.

Battery Terminal - Connect
Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure
.
3.
DTC - Clear
Clear any DTCs with the HDS.
4.
SRS Operation - Confirm
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
5.
Front Bumper Upper Air Duct - Install
Install the front bumper upper air duct
